Today’s lesson: That “simple” stuff in panels usually isn’t simple at all.

That ground hole on the back of a panel?
It looks like just a screw point… until you understand what it’s actually doing.

It’s part of the system that makes fault current predictable.

No bond = no guaranteed return path
No return path = breaker might not clear the fault the way it’s supposed to

And that’s the part most people miss early on:

You’re not just “installing a box.”
You’re building a controlled fault path system that has to work instantly when something goes wrong.

⚡ Grounding isn’t about normal operation.
It’s about what happens in the worst moment.

Note to self:
If you can explain the fault path simply, you actually understand the system.
