This week was a big one.
With April vacation, I didn’t have any classes, which gave me extra time to lock in on both studying and building out my platform. I went deep into NEC Articles 250, 314, and 225, and at the same time planned, scripted, drafted, and scheduled around 30+ posts based on those sections (not including Brain Busters or weekly questions).
I also dropped my first YouTube video — it’s short (about 3 minutes), but it’s an introduction to Josh The Sparky and what I’m building. More long-form content is coming soon.
On top of that, I’ve started taking content requests.
If there’s a topic you want covered:

DM me on any platform
If it’s something I haven’t covered—or something worth going deeper into—I’ll add it to my list and build posts around it.
I stayed active in the community this week:
Posted another Weekly Question on Fast Trax Forums (NECChat.net), rotating between 2023 and 2026 code cycles, respectively.
Participated in Question of the Day discussions, which have been huge for adding real context beyond just reading code (By CQDNECA, Hosted by Thomas Domitrovich [Eaton director] (who's also on IAEI) and Kyle Kreuger [NECA director].
Joined Master the NEC trivia night — great way to pressure-test knowledge in real time
These discussions and community interactions are honestly one of the best ways to sharpen understanding.
Still staying consistent with:
3–4 hours daily study
Code calculations
Combination circuit analysis
Code lookups and deep dives
Lately, I’ve been:
Picking a random NEC article
Studying it
Then, I generate practice questions to test myself (using Tradehog.net)
I also started writing down key points and building my own version of a personal codebook using note pages, which has been helping a lot with understanding and retention.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be shifting more toward the 2026 NEC.
I’m not abandoning 2023—but you’ll start seeing more:
2026-based content
Code comparisons
Key changes and breakdowns
My 2023 book is falling apart at this point, so I’ve been using NFPA Link in the meantime. I’m also keeping an eye on Massachusetts amendments and hoping for an all-in-one amended 2026 book release. If not… looks like I’ll be buying ink.
Expect:
More NEC breakdown videos
Deeper dives into specific articles
Continued daily posts across platforms
