Energy, Perspective, and the Search for Understanding

Every once in a while, I catch myself thinking beyond wires, breakers, and the National Electrical Code. Electricity has a way of making you appreciate the forces all around us that we can't see, yet we know they're there because we experience their effects.

That thought led me to another question: What if we spend so much time trying to explain everything that we forget that some things may simply be beyond our complete understanding?

Some people believe God is a personal creator. Others see God as the force that holds the universe together. I'm not claiming to have the answer, but I often wonder if the energy we bring into the world matters more than we realize.

When we choose kindness over anger, patience over frustration, and wisdom over division, we influence the people around us. One positive conversation can change someone's day. One act of generosity can inspire another. On the other hand, negativity has a way of spreading just as quickly.

As electricians, we understand that energy itself isn't good or bad—it's how it's applied that determines the outcome. Electricity can power a hospital, illuminate a home, or, if handled carelessly, cause destruction. Human influence feels similar. The thoughts, words, and actions we release into the world have consequences.

Will we ever fully understand God? I don't know.

What I do know is that every day allows us to contribute something positive. We may never understand the full scope of the universe or the power behind its existence, but we can choose what kind of influence we have on the people we meet.

Maybe that's part of the journey—not having every answer, but continuing to ask meaningful questions while striving to leave the world a little better than we found it.
