And this is where people get it wrong. ⚠️

⚡ Even when a Power Control System is installed, not all loads are controlled.
NEC 120.7(C)(2) makes it clear:
Noncontrolled loads are still calculated normally.
No reductions.
No substitutions.
No PCS adjustments.
⚡ CODE CONNECTION
NONCONTROLLED LOADS:
❌ Not reduced by PCS
❌ Not replaced by control settings
❌ Not modified by system monitoring
✔ Must be calculated using standard NEC Article 120 rules
The PCS only affects what it actually controls—not the entire electrical system.
🧠 REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE
A typical service may include:
🔌 EV chargers (PCS-controlled)
💡 Lighting
🖥️ Receptacle loads
❄️ HVAC systems
⚡ The PCS may reduce EV charging demand...
But:

🖥️ Receptacles = full calculated load

Unless another NEC rule allows adjustment, nothing changes for these loads.
